What can we do to help you? That's our goal: to provide services to help you do the job.
- We make it a point to be familiar with state laws--not to provide legal advice (that's HSLDA's job)--but to be familiar enough with them to help parents work with them.
- We learn about the wide variety of materials available to homeschooling families, and do the research on what people have used and liked, or with which they have felt
successful, so we can make recommendations that will help our parents meet each child's needs.
- We request children's cumulative records from any previously attended schools, then maintain them here. We also forward them to their next school when necessary.
- We issue transcripts for junior/senior high students (see ``Graduation Requirements"), and provide copies to requesting organizations; we also issue diplomas to our graduates.
- Families receive a copy of our handbook, Poor Ray's Almanac; our Daybook to help them record their activities and textbook purchases..
- Each year we provide faculty cards to all parents, student cards to all students. Optional laminated picture i.d. cards are available if parents provide photographs of
their children.
